  I was introduced to Diane years ago by one of my oldest friends, so I saw her socially long before I needed her professional skills. In 2011, another of my dear old friends passed away, naming me as his executor. My late friend, who knew Diane socially as well, selected Diane to help him with his personal taxes for the two years prior to his death. Because of my obligation to my late friend to manage his estate ethically and prudently, and because of my responsibility to the probate court to properly wind down the estate, I asked Diane to prepare my late friend’s final return as well as those of the estate. I selected her for these tasks for several reasons. Among them, my late friend had confidence in Diane and her work. Secondly, she had his prior years’ returns on file, returns that I would have had to search high and low for, and still not know if the returns I found were the ones he actually filed. Another reason, her experience and her professional credentials fairly represent not just the breadth of her knowledge but the depth of her knowledge about the tax code. Too, her command of the details and her laser like focus on every line, every form, every question is quite impressive. Though highly trained, experienced and engaged, when she was presented with an issue where she lacked familiarity, she didn’t hesitate to seek out the expert opinions of other qualified advisors and respected members of her profession. A high priority for me in this decision was her ethics and professionalism. Her honesty and straightforwardness provided me with a much needed comfort level as I worked to preserve and distribute the estate according to my late friend’s wishes. I can say without reservation that asking Diane to prepare these returns for me was one of the best decisions I made during this process. Though I would have preferred a different set of circumstances for working together, I can think of no other person I would rather have worked with.

  I've had the pleasure of working with Diane (owner/operator of Accounting Connections) for many years now. She has been the contracted accountant for the company I work at for several years and has helped to train me as I've assumed more responsibility in the accounting/finance department. To describe Diane as a tax and accounting expert would truly be an understatement.   When a commercial CD tax preparations program indicated I owed thousands$, Diane did my return over revealing the program's error and saving me much. Again to the rescue, at another time, i spent a whole day trying to figure out the implications of an IRS letter requesting additional tax funds, In about 5 minutes, Diane was able to clarify the matter much to my relief in about 5 minutes. An amazing and sharp accountant!

  I have utmost respect and gratitude for Diane and her work. She was able to get myself and my company on the right track by fixing previous years' problems both in QB and with the IRS. She cares about her clients, and takes a personal interest in their success. I highly recommend her as an accountant for both business and personal, and I also highly recommend her as a QuickBooks adviser.
