- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆I took my wedding set to be resized and Art Jewelers lost my rings. Although the jeweler prided themselves on doing all work in house, I was surprised when quoted the cost for resizing my wedding rings and that it would take a week to complete the work. When I did not receive a call in over two weeks, I went to the store. I waited while different employees searched and peered at me from the back of the store. Eventually the owner, Dave Meadows, told me they would need more time to locate my wedding rings. The next day he confirmed that the rings had not been found. Mr. Meadows said he felt it was a "theft" that took place during their store's renovation. He also told me he felt he was a "victim" in this theft. I trusted this store with my wedding rings - the ring my husband proposed with, the ring he put on my finger as he made vows at our wedding, the rings I insisted on wearing for the birth of 3 children no matter how swollen my fingers were - and they allowed them to be stolen. Mr. Meadows was quick to offer to make me a new ring, to give me a "good memory" but I do not want a daily reminder of the nightmare I experienced at Art Jewelers.By Eric Burton, October 06, 2016
